Cup of water
Paper or foam plate
A sheet of printer paper
Hot glue gun
Squeeze out dabs of paint (your choice of color) onto the plate. Paint the entire egg with your base color. You may have to paint the top side first, let it dry, and then paint the bottom. I recommend painting 2 layers. When you are finished, make sure to put your brush in the cup of water to prevent the paint from drying on the brush. The paint on the egg should be dry in a few minutes. The drying process can be sped up with a blow dryer.
Using a different color “draw” out the outline of the nose with a tiny paintbrush. Use the small dip at the end of the egg as a center point. Fill in the nose. If you mess up the lines don’t worry! Just go back over any inconsistencies with your base color.
“Draw” out the outline of the eyes shaped like triangles. Place them right in front of the line on the egg. Fill in the eyes. You can place a little white dot on them if you wish.
Paint the mouth by painting a long “U” shaped line starting from the middle of the base of the nose going back to where the eye starts. Do the same for the other side.
Paint any defining markings.
Cut out the ears from the paper. You can make your own by folding the paper in half and cutting out a “V” shape with a curved base or download the template. Curl them slightly by wrapping them on the paintbrush or a pencil. You can paint them if you wish.
Hot glue the ears on behind the line on the egg.
Tie a circle with the ribbon. Put the knot inside the egg and close it. Now your egg is ready to hang! Enjoy.
