I only use high quality materials for my paintings and drawings.
- For my drawings I use 100 lb., acid-free Bristol vellum paper. This paper has a smooth surface and has a similar weight as heavy card stock. My pencils are Staedtler Mars Lumograph.
- For my watercolors I use Arches 140 lb., 100% cotton rag, acid-free, hot press paper. This paper is heavy weight and has a smooth surface, which is perfect for details. I only use artist-quality watercolors which ensure the best pigment and permanency.
- You can choose between canvas or wood panel for acrylics. Canvas is lightweight and easy to hang. I use “Gallery Wrap” canvas which is 1.25″ deep. They do not require a frame. Wood panels have a smooth surface and are more sturdy than canvas. The wood grain can be included in the background if desired.
